postheadericon Tournament Sign Up Policy

Tournament sign-up sheets are posted 3 to 4 weeks prior to the scheduled date. If you choose to play in that tournament put your name on the sheet. The sheets are taken down on the Thursdays prior to the weekend before the tournament to enable the tournament directors to post the pairing, so we can get lottery starting times. The tournament pairing sheet will have numbered alternate sign up locations in case you forgot or couldn’t sign up timely. The tournament directors will monitor the alternate signings and they will make additional teams, providing the alternates enable additional teams to be put together following the same format of the tournament. Priority will be given to the first person signing up. If the tournament pairing require A,B,C,C players the tournament directors will follow the order of the alternates and make teams accordingly. Put your phone number next to your name so you could be notified. It will be the team’s responsibility to get a starting time. Only teams which have the proper pairing can play in that tournament, however, if the tournament is a challenge cup qualifier we will put together additional groups which will only count for challenge cup points. If the tournament directors need to fill a spot from the posted player due to an emergency withdrawal from the tournament, they will fill the spot from the alternate sheet in sequence.

Only the tournament directors can make the alternate teams and fill spots.

No show penalties will still apply, and no pay penalties (losing your starting time) will apply, and there will be no other penalties as long as the above rules are followed.
